King's Lynn is staffed by a wholetime duty watch 24/7 with retained duty staff providing back-up cover.
 
The management team produce an annual station plan following research into the main risks, from emergency situations, to both the local community and our own staff.
 
Within the 2007/08 plan the main risk have been identified as:
 
Effective water rescues from flooding and the River Ouse
Reduction of home fires through the "Home Fire Risk Check" scheme and school visits
Reduction of deaths and serious injuries from road traffic accidents
Reduction of arson working with local schools, the youth offending team and utilising our "Firesetter Education Scheme"
