Saturday 20 March 2010 is the Fire Fighters Charity National Car Wash and the county's firefighters will be doing all kinds of helpful things to raise funds.
The event will see Norfolk’s crews join thousands of fire fighters across the country lining up outside local stations with buckets and sponges. The day provides drivers with the opportunity to receive a shampoo and polish for their cars, along with the chance to make a charity donation.
Fire fighters will be collecting donations for The Fire Fighters Charity as well as taking the opportunity to talk to people about fire safety.
Among those stations taking part in Norfolk are:
Sprowston (Chartwell Road)
Fakenham (Norwich Road) between 8.30 am and 4pm..
Watton (Thetford Road) between 10 am and 4 pm
Hunstanton (Kings Lynn Road)
Outwell (Churchfield Road)
Great Yarmouth (Friars Lane)
Harleston - taking place on Budgens car park between 9 am and 3 pm
Acle (Old Road) - between 10 am and 4 pm
Long Stratton (Swan Lane) - between 10 am and 2 pm
Reepham (School Road) - between 10 am and 4 pm
At all events there will be a chance to make a charity donation to the Fire Fighters Charity - the UK's injured firefighter charity. For further information visit www.firefighterscharity.org.uk
