On Saturday March 7 the buckets and sponges were out across the county as Norfolk crews took part in the annual Fire Fighters Charity car wash.
By the look of the photos a good time was had by all and across the county hundreds of pounds was raised.
Sprowston managed to raise £724.50 and generated 26 Home Fire Risk Checks. There were also approximately 11 car seat checks completed as well. The crew had a bit of help from two Heart 102FM’s Angels who came along to help with the fundraising.
Long Stratton raised £530.00 and worked longer than the hours they had advertised to try and wash the back log of cars that built up! Other stations taking part included Kings Lynn (where crews washed cars from 1pm until 4pm and raised a total of £288), Fakenham and Acle.
