Norfolk fire crews hope to clean up

Firefighters across Norfolk will be helping people banish the March mud from their cars while raising funds for an excellent cause.

Saturday March 7 is the Fire Fighters Charity National Car Wash and the county's firefighters will be doing all kinds of helpful things to raise funds.

The event will see Norfolk’s crews join thousands of fire fighters across the country lining up outside local stations with buckets and sponges.
The day provides drivers with the opportunity to receive a shampoo and polish for their cars, along with the chance to make a charity donation.

Fire fighters will be collecting donations for The Fire Fighters Charity as well as taking the opportunity to talk to people about fire safety.

Among those stations taking part in Norfolk are:

Sprowston (Chartwell Road) between 10am and 4pm.  (also child car seat checks available)
King’s Lynn (Kilham’s Way) between 1pm to 4pm.
Fakenham (Norwich Road) between 8.30am and 3.30pm.
Acle (Old Road) between 10am and 2pm.
Long Stratton (Swan Lane) between 10am and 2pm.

At all events there will be a chance to make a charity donation to the Fire Fighters Charity - the UK's injured firefighter charity.  For further information visit www.firefighterscharity.org.uk
